Design collaboration is a key ingredient to a successful design process. That’s why at UXPin we put emphasis on collaboration, communication, and feedback.
With that in mind, we want to showcase you 3 scenarios how to make these processes easier and more efficient.
Completing a successful project is like a relay race – each team member has an important role to play. Starting from assembling your Team, through feedback and validation, all the way to the development, UXPin supports your internal design process.
Creating a successful team always starts with assigning particular roles and project access to your colleagues/coworkers in UXPin. Imagine you need 2 designers, a developer and a manager who oversees the process – nothing easier! Take a look at the video below to see how to set it all up in the user management section.
Now it’s time to actually start working. The designer can create a basic navigation tab by placing various elements on the canvas.
Once they’re done, the next step is to ask both Manager and Developer to share their perspective and leave some feedback. It’s enough to open the Design Preview and switch the mode to leave some comments and assign each of them to the person responsible.
The entire communication can be additionally connected with a Slack channel to facilitate collaboration and keep everyone up-to-date.
Once you agree on the details, the Project Manager can add specification in the editor and then handoff the design to the developer.
Using our preview, the developer can inspect all the design elements and access the automatically generated styleguide. In that section they can find the overview of the design and additional information as well as download all the assets with a single click. Now they have everything they need to start the development process.
#2 Team – Stakeholder
UXPin is the best tool for bridging project team with stakeholders. Keep your coworkers up-to-date with project status, send your work to stakeholders, ask for their thoughts and review their feedback until you get the final approval from everyone!
The project seems to be almost finished, there’s just one last step to take, which is making the final call on the colour scheme. As the design is waiting for review, the project manager can notify the team by changing its status.
The project manager can start requesting feedback using our convenient Approval Process feature.
Once the Stakeholder enters the preview, they can review the proposed design and documentation.
Upon receiving the approval, the project manager can easily share the word with the entire team by updating project status in UXPin.
Spreading the news can be even faster, if your project is integrated with Slack – all the team members can see the update directly on the connected channel.
#3 Team – Client
Gathering feedback from your customers and meeting their expectations is an integral part of every design process. UXPin gives you a way to rapidly collect notes and comments coming also from people outside your account.
Once the team enters the final stretch of the project sprint, the last thing to do is gathering feedback from the client. It’s enough to send a preview link via email with a custom message using share options available in UXPin.
Even once you share the prototype with your client, you can still add some internal comments, visible only to your colleagues. Additionally, you can leave some direct remarks/questions for your user to pick their brains.
Meantime the customer receives an email inviting them to review the prototype.
They will be able both to reply to the team questions and leave some additional feedback of their own.
To share their thoughts, all they have to do is provide their names and it’s all set. No UXPin account needed!
The team can now apply some final touches to the design to match customer’s feedback and resolve the comments.
UXPin provides you with tools to get the right information across to your team and stakeholders. Keep your team members updated, request approval from the Stakeholders, and gather feedback effortlessly – all within one application. Take us out for a test drive and see how UXPin makes your workflow smoother.
