Iterations allow to save different phases of the prototype as separate versions which you can use to evaluate contrasting design ideas. You can also share preview links to past iterations with your clients to gather feedback without sharing the work that’s currently in progress and not ready for a review.
To create a new iteration, first, click the Iterations icon in the top right corner of the Properties panel. Then choose Create new iteration, name your file and decide if you want to copy comments added so far. Please note to use the descriptive names for your iterations, including for example sprint or release details, in order to keep your files’ structure neat.
You’ll also be able to create new iterations out of the existing ones in the Iterations modal and work simultaneously on numerous versions of your prototype.
You can either create new iteration while editing the previous one or choose New iteration directly from the modal.
All iterations of a given prototype are listed in the Iterations modal. Here you will be able to:
- edit an iteration;
- preview it;
- create a new iteration;
- retrieve an iteration;
- remove it.
The Iterations modal can be opened directly from the editor or from the dashboard – it’s enough to hover over the prototype to open more options and choose Iterations (History) from the list.
If you choose to restore an iteration, it’ll become the current version of the prototype. The previous version will be automatically saved as a new iteration in the history, so you’ll be able to access it if needed.
