Moving designs within the account
Sometimes you may keep working on a prototype only to realize that it’s been created in the wrong project. Or perhaps you need a copy of your prototype in another project. Don’t worry, there is an easy way to move your prototypes between projects in UXPin.
When you’re in the project view in the Dashboard, hover over the three dots in the lower right corner of the prototype thumbnail to see a menu with additional options. To continue moving the project, please click on “Move to project”. A “Change project” window will appear and you’ll see a drop down menu with all your projects. Simply choose the one that you’d like to move the prototype to, click Save and voilà! The prototype has been moved to a new location.
When you move the prototype it changes the original location. However, if you’d like to retain a copy of the prototype when moving it to a different project, you’ll need to duplicate it first.
The entire process of transferring a prototype into a different project is super easy – please take a look below for a quick recap.
Transferring designs between different UXPin accounts
What if you need to transfer your projects from one UXPin account to another? Our Support team can definitely help you with that. You’ll need to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and provide the following information to make that happen:
- The email address of the account that we’re transferring the project from
- The destination – email address of the account that we’re transferring the project to
- The name of the project to be transferred. Please note that we can only transfer entire projects, not single wireframes or pages.
We care about privacy and security a lot, which is why the transfer request needs to come from the owner of the account. Once we have all necessary details, we will be able to complete the transfer for you.
We hope that everything related to transferring designs is clear now, but as always, if you have any other questions please drop us a line at email@example.com .
