
Originally from the mitten state, Bethany moved to Austin, Texas in 2015 and is currently working as a Design Lead at IBM Design.
She leads the team in charge of developing and maintaining the Carbon Design System, which enables teams to design and build experiences that contribute to IBM Cloud products.

Ken Skistimas is Design Director at GE Digital where he leads the Predix UI Design System team. His team creates and maintains a scalable and extensible design language for consumption across hundreds of applications that connect people, data and machines built on Predix, GE’s Industrial Internet platform.
Before joining GE, Ken led the User Experience team for the Salesforce Sales Cloud, their largest product. He was heavily involved with the design and launch of Lightning Experience, Salesforce’s most significant redesign since its original launch and contributed many core patterns to the Lightning Design System.
With a background in graphic design and a highly collaborative nature, Ken is a big proponent of getting ideas down by sketching, sharing early with product and development teams and using data to iterate quickly to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Prior to Salesforce, Shahrzad was a Principal Interaction Designer at Cooper.
She has co-founded and ran two successful startups, and worked as a content strategist and editor across a wide variety of industries. She has also worked as a research scientist, photographer, journalist, and DJ. She has a Masters in Interaction Design and a Bachelors in Materials Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Dustin is a designer working at the intersection of visual, interaction, and service design.
He has almost 15 years of experience spanning design and leadership roles at frog design, Johnson and Johnson, and the LA Metro.
Jessica leads the Design Systems team at LinkedIn, responsible for enabling quality design at scale through tools, collaboration, and Art Deco – their Design System. The team strives to empower and educate their peers to deliver amazing, inclusive, consistent experiences to their members.
As a Bay Area local, she’s lived and worked in close proximity to the heart of the tech scene her entire life, and she’s had the pleasure of learning from and collaborating with some of the most talented professionals in the world at LinkedIn.

As a founding member of Airbnb’s design technology team, Ben helps to maintain and evolve their growing design system across platforms and products.
He has nearly a decade of design and development experience at companies like Binti, WibiData, and One Medical Group.
Allison is a designer with more than 10 years of experience across a broad range of industries, and a knack for shipping consumer products with major impact for both customers and bottom lines.
Previously, she helped grow a world wide audience at Twitter and led the design of Yelp.com. Allison hails from the East Coast, and earned her MFA in Interaction Design at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Carl Tsui leads the UX engineering group at athenahealth and is the product owner for the company-wide design system initiative. He mixes the code discipline of over 13 years of software development with design sensibility and a user centered product approach. His career has spanned diverse industries including healthcare, space imaging, education, geospatial, and urban planning in roles of business owner, designer, or developer. At athenahealth, Carl continues to build a team of multi-disciplinary professionals dedicated to advanced prototyping, front end technology research, and design systems.
Currently the Head of Design Platforms at athenahealth, Jen leads teams focused on Experience Measurement & Insights, Design Systems, and DesignOps. Her group's charter is to empower the entire organization to innovate, design, and build great experiences.
Jen has spent 20 years helping organizations utilize human-centered design to gain business advantage and ensure end-user value. Prior to joining athenahealth, she was a director at Nielsen Norman Group, conducting user research, consulting, and teaching courses worldwide on topics including persuasive web design, information architecture, navigation, web analytics, and web-based social strategies.
Since 1996, Jen has consulted to over 60 organizations in a variety of sectors including healthcare, retail, government, financial services, lodging, transportation and charitable organizations.
Jen has a B.F.A. in Architecture from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
Since co-founding UXPin in 2010, he has helped build and lead product teams in the Poland and Silicon Valley office.
Previously, he was a UX Manager at Grupa Nokaut, an enterprise ecommerce platform.
He holds an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Gdansk.
