UXPin\u2019s preview mode is great for soliciting feedback. But leaving stakeholders to their own devices can give too many random opinions, and not enough constructive criticism. In short, \u201cwhat do you think?\u201d often results in bland, unhelpful, off-topic comments.<\/p>\n

Here are some tips to get great feedback:<\/p>\n

State your goals.<\/strong> Telling stakeholders \u201cI\u2019m going for X\u201d or \u201cI want to achieve Y\u201d helps them to frame responses in ways that keep the conversation on the topic. Learn more about goal-setting<\/a> at SurveyMonkey.<\/p>\n

Figure time vs. benefit.<\/strong> Make a graph with time to implement on one axis and benefit to users or the business on the other. Then jot keywords or phrases that summarize each bit of feedback on the graph. Prioritize items that are easiest to implement and<\/em> most beneficial first. Ask the right people.<\/strong> Chances are, not everyone in your organization needs to weigh in on a design in progress. Take feedback seriously, but lightly.<\/strong> Feedback is loaded with personal views. People\u2019s comments are suggestions that you can weigh against your own judgement.
