At Illumina, Julia leads a team dedicated to improving human health through design thinking.

Previously, Julie led Citrix’s CX team for SaaS products. She led design for enterprise products including XenClient, Cloud Platform and App Orchestration.

Prior to Citrix, Julie ran the design team for the shared platform of Adobe’s Creative Suite and led user research for Photoshop. She has designed everything from websites (xerox.com) to online education ( online MBA program) to training programs (Charles Schwab, National Semiconductor) to computer networks (Onizuka Airforce base, ZiffDavis Labs).

Julie earned her BA at Wesleyan University in cognitive science and a PhD in Learning Sciences.
