The desktop version of UXPin gives an easy and convenient access to the application from your dock or taskbar. Additionally, it offers improved performance and unifies the experience for all users.
To download the desktop version of UXPin, open the application, click on your avatar in the dashboard and choose Get desktop app. You can access this option from the hamburger menus in the editor and preview as well.
Once you download a file, double-click it and follow the regular installation process for Mac or Windows.
- macOS 10.11 (or newer) and Windows 7, 64-bit (or newer)
- You still need a stable internet connection to work in the desktop app.
Depending on the system settings, you may need to add the desktop application as an exception to the antivirus and firewall.
Desktop app allows also for logging with SSO.
The desktop application automatically checks for updates and downloads them, so whenever you reopen the application, you’ll have access to the most recent version. Additionally, you can check the available updates in UXPin menu (Mac) or Help menu (Windows) – just select Check for updates.
The desktop application will save the settings for the last session, such as size and position of the window. If you want to restore the default settings, select Reset app settings option from Help menu.
There are 2 ways you can copy the preview link to the prototype in the desktop app:
- from the Share modal in the editor or dashboard;
- from the Window menu by choosing Copy Link to Preview.
